Continue an invoice you left unfinished

Keep the customer and item details of an unfinished invoice when the page is refreshed.

HOW THIS HELPS YOU

An interruption should not make you type the same invoice again or accidentally create it twice.

What has changed?

What we have done

  • Keep a copy of the unfinished invoice
  • Bring back the customer and item details
  • Continue working on the same invoice draft

Checks that passed

No checks have been marked as passed yet.

Still to check

  • Refresh the page while an invoice is unfinished
  • Check that continuing the draft does not create a second invoice
  • Open the saved draft and finish saving the invoice in the Windows app

What we still need to do

We still need to close and reopen the Windows app, recover the draft and check that the final invoice saves correctly.

Prevent one person from overwriting another person’s invoice changes

Warn you if someone else has changed an invoice since you opened it.

HOW THIS HELPS YOU

If two people edit the same invoice, the latest correction should not be lost when the other person saves.

What has changed?

What we have done

  • Check whether the invoice has changed before saving
  • Stop an older copy from overwriting a newer correction
  • Save changes to the invoice and its accounting entries together

Checks that passed

No checks have been marked as passed yet.

Still to check

  • Try saving an invoice that another person has already changed
  • Check that a failed save leaves both the invoice and its accounting entries unchanged
  • Sign in to the Windows app and check the full invoice editing process

What we still need to do

We still need to check the complete process in the Windows app and the online app.
